Focus Home Interactive, a games publisher and developer first founded in 1993, has undergone a couple of new changes since the middle of the year. The first one — it’s new name — is a result of a name change, which it has undergone for the past three years. It will now be known as Focus Home Interactive . The other change is that it has changed its focus, i.e. moved from its original position in the PC gaming sector to focus on the nascent PlayStation 4/Xbox One/Nintendo Switch market.
Focus Home Interactive has a new name, a new logo, and a new hope for the future. The new name is “Focus”, and the logo is a much simpler shape that recalls the gamepad designs that made the company famous.
Focus Home Interactive stated today that company has relaunched and will now go by the moniker Focus Entertainment.
Focus Home Interactive was a well-known publisher in the AA video game market before to its renaming. A Plague Tale: Innocence, an action-adventure game, and SnowRunner, an off-road driving game, are two of its most popular titles.
“From now on, the Focus Entertainment name will include all of Focus’ operations, with Entertainment representing the publisher’s aim to expand its games, goods, services, and income sources,” the publisher stated in a blog post.
“Entertainment also stresses the goal of providing unique experiences to players all over the globe, backed by an editorial policy that stands out due to creative ideas, imaginative gameplay, and distinct worlds that go beyond the confines of video games.”
Aliens: Fireteam Elite, a co-op shooter, was just released with the assistance of the publisher. Looking forward, the well-received Hardspace: Shipbreaker is still available in Early Access on Steam, while A Plague Tale: Requiem is in development and scheduled to release next year on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
